Environmental Data Management
Does this scenario sound familiar?
After many years of monitoring, your group has developed a large, multi-parameter data set. Some of this data resides in spreadsheets, some in a semi-functional database… and some is still in paper format. Because the data has never been subjected to quality assurance protocols, you can’t trust its integrity. Moreover, because you can’t access all or even part of your data set quickly or easily, responding to regulatory or management issues is daunting.
Imagine being able to visualize your data with a few clicks.

M&A offers comprehensive, customized solutions for managing and visualizing environmental data. Our solutions not only streamline the management process, but they also minimize the risks — and potential costs — of relying on data that is inaccurate, incomplete, or inaccessible. They let you access your data, easily and quickly, to track trends and develop strategies for your environmental projects.
Our data management solutions integrate three components.
Quality assurance: Ensuring the integrity of your data is a critical (and often overlooked) step. M&A’s specialists verify your lab results, reviewing them for accuracy, representativeness, and usability. We also advocate for corrective actions when necessary, leveraging over 25 years of excellent working relationships with labs in Arizona and elsewhere.
Database development: M&A works with labs to format digital results and import them into Enviro Data®, an off-the-shelf, relational database program that we can customize for your project needs. The Enviro Data Viewer is a user-friendly interface that allows you to access results by site, station, date, and analyte. M&A provides training so you get the most from this powerful tool.
Analysis and reporting: Enviro Viewer lets you generate tables, graphs, and maps with a few clicks and export data in a variety of formats for use in other applications. M&A can also develop solutions for more complex reporting and mapping needs.
