Montgomery & Associates - Water Resource Consultants
Montgomery & Associates

M&A helps clients meet permitting requirements at Superfund (CERCLA) sites, Water Quality Assurance Revolving Fund (WQARF) sites, power facilities, recharge and recovery facilities , wastewater treatment plants, mines, and underground gas storage sites.

Remote monitoring station

We have experience permitting existing and planned discharge facilities — including recharge, mining, and industrial facilities. We also have expertise monitoring and reporting for compliance with permit requirements.

M&A helps clients find the most efficient pathway through complex permitting and regulatory processes, providing technical support for agency negotiations and, if needed, for the public involvement process.

We are Arizona’s leading Aquifer Protection Permit (APP) specialists.

M&A’s professionals — who include former ADEQ managers Michele Robertson and Carrolette Winstead — are leading specialists in Arizona’s APP program. M&A has extensive experience helping mines, industrial, and recharge facilities evaluate their APP requirements and design effective plans for meeting them. We support APP applications by conducting hydrogeologic characterization studies and analyses, hydrologic modeling, BADCAT analyses, and monitoring.

M&A also has experience obtaining discharge permits under the state AZPDES and federal NPDES programs.

Monitoring and data services

Monitoring is often an important component of permitting and compliance. M&A designs and implements monitoring programs for environmental applications. Our HydroGeoMetrics team deploys tools to generate reliable data for groundwater, surface water, and vadose zone systems. In addition, we can develop a customized, GIS-compatible database to streamline data organization, analysis, processing, visualization, and reporting. Our user-friendly dashboards allow remote access to data and graphing/mapping functions.
