Profile
A recent addition to M&A’s senior technical team, Stephen Smith has nearly 40 years of experience as hydrogeologic consultant to industries, mines, farms, businesses, utilities, attorneys, and financial institutions. He has served as project manager, principal investigator, and senior hydrogeologist on a wide variety of projects throughout the western U.S. As a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University, he taught graduate-level hydrology courses. He has extensive experience providing hydrogeologic support for mine closures and developing water supplies. In addition, he has developed flow models to assess plume containment and design remedial actions.
Stephen is a registered professional geologist in Arizona, California, Alaska, Oregon, Missouri, and Texas; a certified hydrogeologist in California; a Certified Environmental Manager in Nevada; and a Certified Professional Geologist.
