Profile
A 31-year veteran of the USGS, Ed was promoted to the position of Assistant District Chief of Water Resources Divisions in both Arizona and Washington. During his tenure with M&A, he has participated in statewide investigations of brackish groundwater resources, evaluated the potential for carbon dioxide sequestration in northern Arizona, and prepared a “groundwater atlas” detailing and delineating critical aspects of the Coconino Sandstone aquifer system in northern Arizona.
In 2000, Ed was appointed by Governor Jane Dee Hull to a commission to review the 21-year-old Groundwater Management Act and recommend changes. He is a frequent presenter at conferences, particularly those focusing on the use of brackish water resources and the potential impact of climate change on water supplies.
